Calendar of Events
November 21- Chili supper and silent auction at the old armory in Hazen starting at 6 p.m. until 8:30pm. Tickets will be $5 per person and will be sold at the door as well as pre-sell. Local businesses and private citizens have donated many items for the silent auction that will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Items include some electronics, Razorback basket, pet products baskets, candles, and much more.
December 5- Carlisle Heritage League will be sponsoring a breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. in the BancorpSouth community room. Santa will greet the children, sit down with them and enjoy pancakes, sausage, juice and milk. After breakfast, children will have their picture made with Santa. They will be given a treat, stuffed holiday toy, and Santa will send each of them a personalized letter after he gets back to the North Pole, along with their picture. Ticked must be purchased in advance, as space is limited. Tickets will be available at the Tiki Hut, Nick’s BBQ, from any member of the Heritage League, or you may call Barbara at 870-552-3460. Tickets are $15 each.
December 7- Lighting of the Nativity at 5 p.m. in front of BancorpSouth Bank.
December 7-Carlisle Alumni association will be sponsoring a King Kat fish supper from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Down’s Hall at the First Baptist Church. Tickets are $12 for ddults and $7 ages 6- 11. Children under the age of 5, may dine in free with the purchase of an adult plate. Take-outs will be available.
December 7- Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade begins at 7 p.m. Participants will line up in front of Riviana at 6 p.m. The parade route will begin at Riviana; proceed east on Main St. to Court St., and then north on Court St. to the city park. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the parade, and for all the kids to come visit with them after the parade. The Carlisle Heritage League will have Santa available for pictures after the parade, in front of The Tiki Hut located at 401 West Main Street. The cost is $5 per picture.
